Has anyone ever heard of glassblowing? It's pretty freaking FANTASTIC. If you don't know what it is, glassblowing is basically the art or process of forming or shaping a mass of molten or heat-softened glass into ware by blowing air into it through a tube. (Yep, took that right out of dictionary.com ) In other words, ya get to make pretty glass thingers.
So how the hell does this relate to anything, you ask? Well, I'll tell you now:
Today my mom, sis, and I did a whole bunch of crap and then headed off to the Sonoran Glass Art Academy because we saw on the news the other day that they were selling stuff for Christmas or whatever. I had always been interested in the whole glassblowing deal so I thought it'd be cool to check it out. It was more awesome than I thought it would be~
There were ornaments and vases and other things on display and you could buy them and stuff. The glass art ranged from about ten to two hundred bucks (but then I also saw this one glass sombrero that was like a 1000 bucks holy shit I know ) so I thought I'd get something for my friends for Christmas. Anyway, while there, the members of SGAA were blowing glass and answering questions and showing people stuff, and this one guy was helping this woman to blow her own glass piece, which was this amazing pumpkin sljfdsdkjflksdjf I wanted it.
Riiight, now I shall get to the point. xDD The point is that I'm very most likely definitely going to start taking classes at SGAA for glassblowing! 8DD ITS GONNA BE AWESOME! Their classes start in January and I can't wait to get involved~~ Though it costs a lot of money. D: So I might have to save up for the class, but it'll be totally worth it. *3*
